How we use information
A practical data-use notice for the temporary My Digital Town website.
Contributions, corrections and suggestions are saved privately for the owner to review. Contact emails are not published with local listings. Information you submit for publication is checked before being used.
Newsletter signup saves your email, chosen topics, consent version and time. Requests stay pending while email verification and delivery are not connected. No newsletter is sent automatically. A new request supplies a private management link that can withdraw that request. Keep it safe and do not share it.
Anonymous statistics are optional. When allowed, we count page sections, searches, searches with no results and form starts or successful submissions. These counters contain no visitor IDs, search text or raw IP addresses. Your choice is stored in this browser and can be changed using Privacy choices. Counters are retained for up to 90 days.
Abuse controls use a temporary salted hash of connection information to limit repeated form submissions. Those short-lived entries expire after about 20 minutes. The hosting platform processes connection data to serve the website.
Recovery backups are private and may include submitted contact information. Only the owner can access or download them. Contact the project through the feedback or contribution form for questions about information you have provided.
